My Story

Rick Hughes is a fiction author and creative writing blogger from Birmingham, UK, who believes that stories are our best way of figuring out what on earth is going on today.

Inspired by Jungian psychology, his novels explore the dark side of the human condition, in the hopes of bringing that darkness out into the light. 

​

His debut novel, "The Messiah Caravan", was published in 2020 to a flurry of five-star reviews and was an Amazon bestseller in multiple categories.

​

When not grappling with existential angst, Rick can be found on his yoga mat or giving his son a horsey ride (either way, he'll be on all fours).
